What's different
A launch post is the vendor's own summary. We read what it points to: the docs, the changelog, the pricing page. When a vendor's headline and its own fine print disagree, the issue says which one holds and where you can check it.
An example, including our own mistake. Anthropic said its new Claude Opus 5.5 costs 40% less to run than Opus 5 at default settings. Our first check compared the two at the highest effort setting, the dial that sets how long a model works on a task. There they cost about the same per task. That was the wrong comparison. At each model's default, Artificial Analysis and Bug Hunt Bench both put Opus 5.5 at 37 to 38% of Opus 5's cost per task. That's a bigger saving than Anthropic claimed, and the post carries the correction.

When it arrives
Every weekday morning, published by noon US Central time. Some days one question dominates what developers are arguing about, and that day's issue is a deep dive on it instead. On Fridays we add fast-climbing tools that most lists haven't picked up yet. A tool makes that list only when two separate measures agree, such as GitHub star growth and npm downloads.
When we get it wrong
The correction goes on the original post and into the next issue, the same day. Reply to any issue. A person reads every one.
